Pokagon State Park

Just a ten minute drive from the Hampton Inn Fremont hotel is Indiana's "most beautiful" Pokagon State Park. Bordered by Lake James and Snow Lake, Pokagon offers endless water-recreation activities, such as boating, swimming, and fishing. Covering over 1,260 acres, Pokagon State Park is an exciting wilderness attraction. Home to the state's one and only refrigerated toboggan run, Pokagon's ¼ mile toboggan track can propel you at speeds up to 40 mph! It is open from the Friday after Thanksgiving through February.
